Friends of Warren School are sponsoring a Festival of Trees and a Children’s Only Store: this is a great way for children to shop for their parents and siblings without their help. Children will also have the opportunity of having them gift wrapped to keep the surprise until Christmas.
5 pm - 8 pm FESTIVAL OF TREES: with the help of Local Businesses and the Warren School Students, the Community Center FOWS are happy to present their theme decorated trees. Choose from variety of trees to possibly help decorate your home or office. All trees will be available by raffle—so don’t forget to purchase your tickets!
5 pm – 5:15 pm SANTA ARRIVES: to turn on the newly decorated 20’ Christmas Tree to start the Holiday Celebration at the Community Center. Don’t forget to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Food Bank. The Food Bin is located in the Gym of the Community Center.
THE HOLIDAY HAY WAGON, driven by Mr. Art Downs, will be available to ride to and from the different events. So Hop Aboard and have a wonderful night!
5:15pm - 8 pm SANTA has a traveling workshop and it’s located at the Warren Academy. Stop by and Academy meet Jolly Old St. Nick tell him how good you were this year.
5:30pm –7 pm CHILLY OUTSIDE/CHILI INSIDE: The Warren Church is hosting their Annual Chili Cook-Off. Parish Hall $10 Adults Children under 12 FREE $10 entry fee for Chili Competitors. Taste & vote for your favorite Chili—Enjoy the House Chili, Corn Bread, Coffee & soft drinks. FREE Hot Dogs for children 12 and under.
5:30pm - 8pm - LETTERS TO SANTA: Did you know that the library has a very special mailbox that will Library get letters delivered to Santa? Join us to write a letter, post it in the mailbox and get a reply from Santa before Christmas After you write your letter to Santa, spend some time with our furry visitors, Kittens from Wellsvalley Cat Sancutary. Don’t forget to have some cookies and hot chocolate while you visit.
5 pm – 8 pm - WASSAILING WITH THE WARREN HISTORICAL SOCIETY at the Library. Enjoy their display of Christmas WHS /Library toys and stories, and parents - have a sip of Smoking bishop or dip into the Wassail Bowl!
5 pm - 8 pm - STUFF A FIRETRUCK: The Warren Elves could use your help with gifts for boys 7-16 years of age and girls 8-18 years old. Please bring a new unwrapped gift for those less fortunate. Unsure what teenagers like this year? Why not donate a GIFT CARD –for example—to Walmart, Target, Amazon, ITunes, or Dunkin Donuts. If you would like to help out more, contact Missy in the Social Services office at the Warren Town Hall.
5 pm - 8 pm - HOLIDAY BONFIRE: The Warren Land Trust will be warming up Holiday on the Hill again this year. Join us after 5 pm on the field behind the Community Center. Toast your toes by our roaring field Bonfire while sipping on hot chocolate or adult libations from Litchfield Distillery and Hopkins Vineyard to warm you up on the inside! Enjoy baked treats, including our WLT cookies, along with holiday music and good company to warm the heart. See you there!
